The Kenya Bankers was formed in February 1975 as a Savings and Credit Cooperative Society. The society was formed mainly to provide affordable financial services to its members and customers for wealth creation through deposit mobilization and prudent management.
 
The Kenya Bankers is a deposit taking institution and regulated by SASRA.The Kenya Bankers Head office is located at Kenya Bankers Sacco Center along 3rd Ngong Avenue, off Ngong Road -Nairobi, with a total of eight (8) branches & three (3) sub-branches spread in the countrywide.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is a policy implementing body elected by delegates at the Annual Delegates Conference. The Board is made up of 9 members from banking institutions. This is the governing authority that implements resolutions of the Annual General Conference, & directs the affairs of the Society.

Supervisory Committee

The Supervisory Committee is elected by delegates at the Annual Delegates Conference. The Supervisory Committee consists of 3 members who are NOT from the Board of Directors. The Committee is responsible for the verification of all the transactions of the Society and writing periodic reports of their findings to be tabled at the Annual Delegates Conference.
